The creation of the internet and the mass production of computers in the late 80's changed everyone's lives forever, although today technology is advancing with the use of cryptocurrencies and using stock trading. Everyone has the potential to be their own boss whether you are a stay at home parent or an office clerk. All you have to do is search on the internet for business opportunities and it will bring up more than you could ever imagine, for example print on demand services. Even though you may think it's easy to make a living on the internet, it actually requires a firm business model and a lot of hard work to earn money and a good wage.
You can run an online business with your current job, and your potential market is a lot bigger than the average stores, as you can target other countries to promote and sell products. First you'll need to decide the type of business that's right for you, then do lots of research on trends and products that are popular. The possible business choices open to you are:
1. Affiliate programs
2. Adsense programs
3. Selling products through print on demand or own store
Affiliate programs will pay commissions for selling company products and services. You'll have no contact with the customer, as all you do is provide sales leads to the company of whom you have to be an affiliate for and the merchant pays your commissions. An example of an affliate program is cbproads, as they sell e-books on a wide range of catergories and you get between 50 to 75% commission on high selling products.
Adsense programs are where you take an existing website that you own of a particular subject then add contexual adverts from Google's adsense program. When a user clicks on an advert or banner you'll receive a couple of cents. However, your website or blog on your subject must meet certain criteria before adding adsense programs. Such as have been around for six months, gotten at least ten thousand views or have a steady flow of traffic. In my opinion, this method requires more work than the rest.
Selling products is easy, as you build a website with a shopping cart then give as many details as possible about the products that you are selling. When customers buy your products, you'll receive pay based on what you sell and how many, but of course if it is through a third party, there will be a fee percentage of using their services. You can also use a service, that handles the shipping and customer service which is print on demand.
Print on Demand is where you can create your own designs or use 0cc license images to be put on accessories like t-shirts, mugs, facemasks and other products. I recommend services like Redbubble and Teepublic as you can target a specific niche of customers and it is also a form of passive income, as you only create the designs and the business handles the rest. Down below is my portfolio of a few designs, if you want to view more you can click on the view my portfolio button and it will take you to my store.
*Disclaimer: I will get a commission from cbproads as I am an affiliate with them and my stores are to have a look at my designs and if you want them on products, you may buy them or not.
