A Beginner's Guide on How to Syndicate Articles

You have a business idea, strategy and also have created a website for your business, either as a draft or a published site. However, you are lacking the desired traffic, ranking and wanting to get the word out about your website to potential clients. This is the reason why you should write articles that are intended for marketing purposes. The problem now lies on how to syndicate those articles? In other terms grouping them in a topic, so that visitors can read all about your subject.

Here is a step by step guide to follow, as there are many ways to syndicate (group) your articles. If you are new to the concept of article writing, then this basic guide will provide some ideas to help you achieve your article marketing ventures.

1.  Provide good content

You have to find a way to connect with your target market on the internet and this is simple, all what you need to do is provide what the readers are looking for. Here is an example, you are selling recipe e-books and you want to capture people in the health or fitness industry. Your articles can include tips on how to add more protein to a meal, or how about the health benefits of drinking a smoothie before a workout in the fitness field.

The idea here is to know how to write good and informative content, so visitors will read your articles and also listen to your advice and guidance on a specific topic, for which can be used in all categories and the fitness industry is just an example.

2.  Importance of word count

When writing your articles, you should aim for the 500 word count because it is not too short and usually is the bare minimum for starting out. However, if the topic needs more detailed descriptions, then the higest word count would be 2000 and this also depends on the article submission site. You will write, as an expert in your field, with vocabulary and terminology that people understand or to explain these in a simple way. To make more sales, you need to tap the market with keywords and will have visitors that are interested in buying your products or services being offered.

Do not directly promote your products and service on the article, as many article submission sites will ban you from using their services.  They provide an allotted space for you to advertise your website and that is found on the author's bio, where you can link your website with a text ad or provide a banner image, so when clicked takes people who are interested with your articles and directs them to your main site.

3. Decide on the article submission site or sites

Using the search engines, you can find the best article submission websites as there are loads on the internet. I would recommend to stay away from the spammy sites, that have low traffic and not been online for a long time. Use sites such as ezinearticles or track down others that have a high ranking, which you can use Alexa to find this information. Sign up on those websites and start submitting your articles.

You can also use offline methods such as newspapers or magazines, to target people in your local area and advertise your website to gain more exposure. However, I would not recommend it because they might charge you a fee and using the internet has a lot more cheap and free ways to target your audience.

4. RSS and Social networking

RSS stands for really simple syndication, for which will distribute your content widely using an automatic process. You will be able to reach a larger audience, as this provides important backlinks to your website. This is also a feed where you can add a widget to your site, promoting your business with all content published by you, even work that may have been created a year ago.

Social media platforms are another way to advertise your content, either by tweeting on Twitter or create a Facebook Group, where you can promote links to your website and other people can also post helpful links. Now that you have the steps on how to syndicate your articles, you can start thinking of ideas to create content that will  be helpful in helping you achieve your goals.
