Easy Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies

"Chocolate: A delicious cure for a bad day"I can't help but love that quote. When I was a kid, I enjoyed helping my mother bake delicious cakes and cookies on the weekends, for which chocolate chip were my favourite and made some other flavours as well, but loved baking chocolate chip cookies.

There's just something special about baking your own cookies, especially chocolate chip cookies, so far as I'm concerned. It's a great family activity, something even children can help with, and everyone loves eating the results and of course licking the spoon.

Here's an easy recipe for delicious chocolate chip cookies I think you'll enjoy:

Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 box of dry cake mix ( butter pecan, chocolate chip, your favourite, chocolate fudge or chocolate)
1/2 cup  butter or margarine -- softened
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup of chopped nuts
1  box of semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine half of the dry cake mix , butter, vanilla extract and eggs in large bowl and mix until smooth. Use a wooden spoon or an electric whisk. Stir in the remaining cake mix, nuts and chocolate chips.

Place dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet or you can change the shape of the dough using a shape cutting tool like stars or hearts, for fun and a variety of shapes. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are hard (centers will be soft). Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to a plate or a container.
