Pros and Cons of Video Blogging

In this article I will be explaining the pros and cons of video blogging. Video blogging can be fun for some people, however this will include hard work, patience and time for others who want to earn money or make a living by doing this profession for individual use or business opportunities. Here are the pros and cons of video blogging, hope you enjoy reading about them.

Advantages

Video blogging is perfect for people who might not be great at the english language and want to express themselves with body language, tone of voice and facial expressions, then writing down their feelings and thoughts. It also grabs the attention of web surfers, and people are much more likely to become excited about the dynamic content of a video blog than they are likely to find a written posting very thrilling. The more enthusiastic viewers are about a website, the quicker the word of mouth spreads, and the more traffic that your site will get.

Disadvantages

Hosting a video blog requires quite a bit of server space, which can make it difficult to get started because you will need to buy proper hosting, if creating your own website. It takes more time to process and upload a video file than it does to dash off a quick bit of text, which means that running and updating a video blog can be quite a bit of work. Video files contain animation and audio, for which is why the files contain more data than just plain text. In addition, web surfers sometimes grow frustrated with the slow loading times of the files on many video blogs, as it depends on their internet connection as well. Whether you choose to do a video blog or not depends on what kind of subject matter you want to cover, and how much time you can devote to video blogging. Before you decide to create a video blog, consider if there is an easier way for you to get your messages across.

Conclusion

It is better to ask your viewers what they prefer, as some might like the idea of you doing videos or just like your style of writing, although to make it more entertaining is to try both and create a survey to judge and get an accurate reading on your viewers thoughts and concerns.
