Keep your workout intense but don't workout more than an hour each time. After forty five to fifty minutes of intensive training, your cortisol level will have increased a lot. This hormone is common and will destroy your muscle cells.

Alcohol in heavy amounts can damage the body for long term and short term, because it has empty calories and can cause bloating. One bad effect is that it can break down muscle mass and cause your skeletal to have thinner bones, resulting in a lot of fractures if falling over.

5. You do not change your workout routine

You must change your workout routine every six to eight weeks. Your muscles adapt to your routine and stops growing. To get more ideas for routines is to search on the internet or ask friends or family members of other things you can do.

6. You do not progressively overload your muscles

You must attempt to increase your reps or weight every time you next train a specific muscle group. Otherwise, there's no reason for your muscles to grow.

7. You're not eating enough protein to recover

If you want to build bigger muscles, you need to consume more protein, like chicken breast or fish for example. Protein is the building block for your muscles. It's recommended that you need 1 gram of protein per pound of your body weight equivalent. If not enough protein is consumed along with your normal diet, do supplement with protein shakes.
